RIEO Communications, the leading provider of High Speed Internet Access to the hospitality sector, has recently recruited a number of new positions to plan for the continuing demand for their product and services.
Chris Bloy – Project Engineer
Chris studied at South Downs College in Portsmouth where he gained a wealth of knowledge in RF design, installations and deployment. Following his studies he joined Inmarsat as an apprentice
communications engineer, where he installed and maintained complex land and sea based telephony and data satellite networks for cruise ships and navy suppliers. Chris moved into the IT and
Telecoms industry with TMS and later Tiger Communications as a Senior Engineer in the Hospitality Network Services department, where he designed, surveyed and deployed Wi-Fi technology in
the UK and international hotel sectors. He has many years of experience in communications and hospitality Wi-Fi networking design and implementation. Chris will help RIEO Communications move
forward with emerging technology and ideas.
Paul Somers – Customer Services Manager
Following 12 years of service in the British army, Paul left the forces and started work as IT Manager for Hilton Park Lane in London. After two years at the Hilton, Paul moved to InnFax
as their European Technical Manager. For the next 7 years he travelled around Europe installing in top hotels and dealing with multiple tasks ranging from project management, to customer
service. Coming from a hotel background has given him a unique perspective of the various levels of hotel life, with customer service being one of his top goals. In 2003 under the new
banner of Ultra.Serv, he moved to Dubai and took over the running of the Middle East region, where he dealt with sales, client relations and technical issues. After spending nearly 7
years in the Middle East, Paul returned to the UK with vast international and national experience in the hotel sector and brings a wealth of knowledge to RIEO Communications.
Haresh Gedia - Software Engineer
Haresh was educated at the University of Mumbai, where he gained a Masters Degree in Information Technology. He previously worked at TATA Consulting Services in the financial sector where
he was involved in the development of a risk management system, followed by a term at Amdocs, a telecom billing supplier where he assisted in developing a real-time rating system for billing systems.
Haresh brings a wealth of knowledge in new software programming methods and adds to the growing development team at RIEO Communications.
Grant Armstrong - Software Engineer
Grant has just graduated from Swansea Metropolitan University, with a degree in software engineering. This is Grant’s first appointment since leaving university and he is looking forward to the
challenges his new role brings. Grant enjoys going to the gym and skydiving, for which he soon hopes to
get his licence.
